Thrill-Seeking Science

Monday December 27

9:30 AM  –  12:30 PM

Take a virtual trip to an amusement park by making your own and exploring the science behind rollercoasters in Thrill-Seeking Science! This exciting camp will take your breath away as we loop, twist, and turn through the physics, math, and engineering at play behind rollercoasters, and get creative with our amusement park themes!

In this camp, we will:

🎢 Test Newton’s Laws of Motion and learn about centrifugal force.

🎢 Engineer our own rollercoaster safety devices and test them.

🎢 Design our very own rollercoasters!

🎢 Create an amusement park theme and games to explore probability and chance.

Each day of virtual camp consists of three hours of a structured zoom session and a kit with all the materials necessary for the camp activities.  Kits will need to be picked up at one of the designated times specified when you check out.

Camps are designed for current 2nd-6th graders.
