Children (Grades preK-1) with an engaged adult

Every child is a natural born scientist! Encourage their curiosity through hands-on explorations of the physical sciences at the Children’s Science Center Lab. What happens when two things are mixed together? What happens when I pour water into the sandbox? What happens when I mix foods together on my plate? Mixing things together—chemistry!—is a common occurrence in everyday life, and an exciting event for inquisitive young minds. “Little Chemists” provides budding scientists with a vocabulary for discussing these fun experiments, and better equips them for understanding what is happening in the world around them.

This is a family workshop that is intended for young children and an engaged caregiver. Participants are invited to explore the Lab after the workshop. Children must be accompanied by their caregiver while enjoying the Lab exhibit areas. Additional family members may purchase General Admissions tickets at the door or in advance. Member discounts are applied at the time of purchase.

We require written notice if you need to withdraw from a workshop. Please send written notice by email requesting the withdrawal. A full refund will be provided less a $5.00 administrative fee if cancellation is requested with 5 days advance notice. No refunds will be processed within 5 days of your workshop start day.
