Seasonal, full-day, school break STEM camp for children in grades 3-6.

During  Engineering the Medieval Way camp, children will:

  • Investigate basic scientific principles and enjoy creating and building to address engineering design challenges presented in the context of medieval times;
  • Work collaboratively to complete tasks demonstrating concepts of gravity, buoyancy, and simple machines;
  • Build towers, boats, draw-bridges, and catapults as well as design medieval coats of arms and jewelry;
  • Integrate data gleaned from simple hands-on science experiments with the creation of their own inventions.

Participants should bring a healthy snack and lunch. Please note that the Lab is a nut-free facility.
