The Children's Science Center Lab's single-day Summer Camps are creative opportunities for hands-on learning. This STEM camp is designed for children in grades 1-4.

Have you ever wished you could shrink yourself down to the size of an ant?  Fascinated by itty-bitty critters?  Want to explore all that is creepy and crawly?  Then this is the camp for you!

During Bug Out!, children will:

  • Discover what makes an insect an insect with microscope observations
  • Explore the world of bees with a special visit from our resident beekeeper
  • Learn the science behind beehives and the secret of the hexagon
  • Design and take home the perfect habitat for a backyard bug

Participants should bring a healthy snack and lunch. Please note that the Lab is a nut-free facility.

We require written notice if you need to withdraw from a program. Please send written notice by email requesting the withdrawal. A full refund will be provided less a $10 administrative fee if cancellation is requested with 5 days advance notice.  No refunds will be processed within two weeks of the program start day.
