Animal Adaptations

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday July 3

9:00 AM  –  3:00 PM

Designed for children currently enrolled in grades 1 through 4.

From venomous fish to color changing lizards, animals of all sorts have unique ways of surviving! We will explore creatures big and small, from the way they hunt, to the way they hide!

In Animal Adaptations children will:

• Explore the world of camouflage by observing animals in the lab and practicing some camouflage of their own.

• Experiment with bioluminescence, the ability to glow in the dark!

• Discover the defense mechanisms of poison and venom, identifying the difference between the two and creating their own venom delivery method.

• Design their own inventions based on biomimicry, ideas coming from animal and plant adaptations!

Participants must bring their own nut-free lunch and snack. Aftercare is from 3pm - 5pm and available for $35.
